DIVA - Distributed Intelligent Video Analytics
DIVA uses existing CCTV cameras – on platforms and trains – to measure crowd density. Passenger density is calculated in real time using video analytics based on artificial intelligence technology.
Real time passenger flow and trends have become a key valuable data for many ground transportation use cases such as passenger security, passenger comfort as well as train regulation optimization, energy savings and COVID-19 sanitary measures. The great majority of the ground transportation operators have already deployed CCTV equipments for security reasons.
DIVA offers to leverage this existing CCTV network by applying AI video analytics to existing video streams. No need to deploy new sensors, we provide real time passenger density and trends to station masters, train regulation operators and also passengers in a cost effective, secured and anonymized manner.
Live Network Density Map & Crowd alert
This feature aims at offering simple means to the Operation Control Center (OCC) staff to assess the current occupancy of the ilne in real time.
In adition, the crowd alert aims at warning OCC and station staff on abnormal density levels of passengers within a given area.

The station entries, corridors, mezzanine and platform are coloured as a form of heat map according to the density level analyzed by the video analytics engines and computed by the Video Analytics Platform.

This feature aims to support Transportation operators to get an overview of passenger flow trends and optimize their operation and running costs in consequence.
This function aims at enhancing passenger comfort and train regulation. By informing passengers of the density of the next coming train(s) directly on the platform thanks to Passenger information displays.
